FAQ
1. Is this driftwood safe for my fish and shrimp?
Yes. It's 100% natural wood with no chemicals, paint or polish. It's safe for freshwater fish, shrimp and snails.
2. Why is my water turning brown, and is it harmful?
It's not harmful. New driftwood releases tannins, which give the water a light tea colour. It's actually good for shrimp, bettas and tetras. To reduce it, soak the wood in a bucket for a few days before use, or do regular water changes.
3. Why is my driftwood floating, and how do I make it sink?
New driftwood still has air in it. Soak it in water for a few days, or boil it for 30-60 minutes, and it will sink on its own. Until then, weigh it down with a rock.
