How do I cycle a planted tank before adding fish?
Run the LINY 401 filter for 2 to 3 weeks before adding fish. Add a small pinch of fish food daily to generate ammonia. When both ammonia and nitrite read zero, the tank is cycled and ready.
Can the 8 inch Pro kit support shrimp and fish together?
Yes — choose small, peaceful species like Ember Tetras or Chili Rasboras. Dense planting and Driftwood provide shrimp with the cover they need to feel secure.
